Plugin Update Guide
If AiToEarn says your current extension version is outdated, follow this guide to update it with the latest .crx package.
Before You Start
Review the backup notes and confirm your current install method before updating with the .crx package.
Important Notice
If you previously installed the extension by extracting a .zip package, manually back up your existing extension data first, such as agents and task settings.
The old .zip install method is not compatible with the current one. After installing with the .crx package, you need to manually remove the old .zip-based extension.
Checklist Before Updating
- Close the extension popup, extension details page, and related panels before you start so the browser state can refresh cleanly.
- If you want extra safety, back up your extension data first, such as agents and task settings.
Update Steps
Follow these 7 steps to finish updating the latest extension package.
Download the latest extension package
Use the download entry at the top of the page to get the latest .crx package.
Open the download folder
Open the folder that contains the extension package you just downloaded.
Open Manage Extensions
Go to Chrome's extensions management page to start the manual update.
Enable Developer mode
Turn on Developer mode in the top-right corner of the extensions management page.
Drag the latest package into the extensions area
Drag the downloaded .crx file directly into the extensions management page.
Click Re-enable to confirm the update
When Chrome shows the confirmation dialog, click “Re-enable” to finish updating the extension.
Turn off Developer mode
After the update is complete, you can turn off Developer mode.
